On May 22, 2019, Cross River State Governor, Senator Ben Ayade, launched the Cross River State 30-year Growth and Development Strategy (GDS) at the Calabar International Convention Centre in Cross River State, Nigeria. ISM PhD alumnus Francis Ntamu, Chief Executive of the Cross River State Planning Commission and the GDS Project Executive Director, helped unveil the new 30-year plan. Ntamu led a diverse team of stakeholders from the public, private, and informal sectors, including civil society, in the development of a bottom-up strategy for the sub-national.
Ntamu is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Taxation. He obtained his PhD in International Business Management from ISM. His doctoral research work was on infrastructure PPPs and the supportive role of risk-based implementation decision framework in Nigeria. He is chief economic adviser to the Governor of Cross River State where he oversees the development of mandates including results monitoring of ministries, departments, and agencies.
