Tewelde Mezgobo Ghrmay, ISM PhD alumnus and Associate Professor of Management at Mekelle University, has contributed to significant academic discussions through the publication of a book chapter and two articles in the EuroMed Journal of Management.
His book chapter, titled "New Public Management and Path Dependence in Public Organizations in Ethiopia: A Multiple Case Study," is featured in the book Public Administration in Ethiopia, published by Leuven University Press. The chapter explores the challenges of implementing public sector reforms in Ethiopia, particularly in low-income contexts, highlighting the impact of path dependency on service delivery and social outcomes.
In addition, Ghrmay has co-authored two journal articles in the EuroMed Journal of Management. The first is titled "Enhancing Investment Opportunities Through Building Institutional Capacity in Tigray: Evidence from Mekelle City." This paper examines how building institutional capacity can improve investment opportunities in the region, with a focus on the roles of local and foreign investors. The second article, “Challenges and Opportunities in the Oilseeds and Grains Production in Humera, Tigray Region, Ethiopia: A Multiple Case Study,” investigates the agricultural value chains in Humera, highlighting the lack of support for local farmers and suggesting policy interventions to improve performance.
