From October 5-7, the ISM community will have a significant presence at the Shaping the Future Global Conference (SFGC2023). Taking place at the Protea Hotel King George in George, South Africa, and accessible online, this event marks a significant stride in sustainable supply chain development, spearheaded by the conference organiser, Net Zero Nexus NPC.
A gathering point for specialists from various sectors including universities, corporations, and communities, SFGC2023 promises to be a rich ground for networking and collaboration, driving forward the goal of creating decentralised food, energy, water, and waste systems.
ISM's own Dean, Dr. Tobias de Coning, will have the honor of delivering the welcome address, setting the stage for a series of critical dialogues on sustainable development. Alongside him, Maurice Forget, Director of Doctoral Research at ISM, will represent the institution on the international scientific committee, showcasing ISM's commitment to fostering sustainability through education and research.
This conference also coincides with the launch of the Global Institute for Multipreneurship (Gimp) and the Africa Sustainable Escalator Project (ASEP), promising an array of opportunities for ISM staff, alumni, and students to engage and innovate in the space of sustainable development.
