Fall is here! It has been quite an eventful summer, and I’m looking forward to the end of the year. So far, I’ve completed all the research papers for my summer classes. I’ve spent the entire summer preparing them so that I can focus on the fall classes I teach and for Pitch in Paris.

My classmate and I submitted a business plan for the Pitch in Paris business pitch competition and we were excited to hear that we made it as finalists! It will be the second annual Pitch in Paris, showcasing business ideas from across the globe. It is to be held in November, and we are so happy that we made it this far.

In addition to Pitch in Paris, I will be traveling to Paris for a required course - Introduction to Research Methods with Professor Jack Hampton. I took Prof. Hampton’s class in the summer and was absolutely blown away by his unique teaching technique. But more importantly, by his genuine care for his students. I immediately decided to take another class with him.

However, there is another factor. Not only am looking forward to this course because of Prof. Hampton, but it encompasses everything I need to know about the dissertation process. The required paper for this class will actually be my dissertation proposal. I will be one step closer in my journey to receiving my PhD!
