An attorney with over 20 years’ experience in large international law firms, she practices general corporate law, with a focus on cross-border investments, mergers and acquisitions, and finance. She also has substantial experience on intellectual property matters and international trade issues.
Matthew Andrews, PhD
Matthew Andrews holds a PhD in international management and publishes research on organizational development and learning, team dynamics, and knowledge management in technology companies, and in the healthcare sector. He has been working in higher education in France since 1997 as a teacher, administrator, consultant, and accreditation peer reviewer.
Dr. Andrews previously worked at ISM as Dean and Director of Doctoral Affairs and Director of Academic Affairs at ISM. He was also previously the Dean of Bachelor and Master of Business Administration programs at the Institut Supérieur de Gestion in Paris, France.

Joachim Bauer, PhD
Having received a PhD in Management, Dr. Joachim Bauer has concentrated on developing his experience in consultancy, research, and teaching. He has continued to build up and expand his academic research portfolio at Leeds University Business School, London Business School, University of Liverpool Management School, the International School of Management as well as various other schools.
In the consulting business, Joachim advises his clients in various areas of management including strategic management, operations strategy development, operations improvement, business level strategy development, change and innovations. Clients are from a variety of sectors such as bakery, finance, and IT. Alongside his main strand of business, he keeps up to date with the latest academic developments through his work with various universities. He has refined his experience in a newly founded university in Germany, where he has - amongst other duties of a Founding Provost - developed a new MBA program.
Dr. Bauer has taught master and bachelor level modules in Operations Management, Quality Management, Knowledge Management, Research Methods, and Academic Writing and Skills. Since 2009, he has focused on teaching online in PhD, DBA, MBA, and MSc programs, and has successfully supervised numerous PhD and DBA dissertations as well as MBA and MSc theses.
Barak Ben-Avinoam, PhD
Dr. Barak Ben-Avinoam teaches Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the IMBA program at ISM. Dr. Ben-Avinoam is a serial entrepreneur and an expert in the field of early-stage investments, technology start-ups, accelerators and incubators. Barak is a Partner at Benhamou Global Ventures (BGV), a Silicon Valley-based early stage venture capital fund that focuses on enterprise IT innovation. Prior to BGV, Barak Ben-Avinoam was a Managing Partner at Fastlane Ventures (FLV), the leading Internet accelerator in Russia, and a Managing Director at QuantumWave Capital (QWC), a boutique, Paris-based investment banking firm specializing in technology mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to QWC Barak was an executive in two of the leading Israeli incubators in the internationally recognized Incubator Program led by the Israeli Office of the Chief Scientist. At this capacity Barak led dozens of investment transactions and worked closely with CEO's of early-stage companies. Before his tenure as an investor Barak was a co-Founder and held C-level positions at several Israeli technology start-up companies, including CEO of Flash Networks, GM of European Operations at Business Layers, and CEO of Prolify. Barak Ben-Avinoam is an Advisory Board Member, mentor and a panelist at several international acceleration programs, including at the Technion's BizTEC Program, Tel Aviv Academic College Start-HUB Accelerator Program, The College of Management Academic Studies in Israel, and others.
Dr. Ben-Avinoam has also taught MBA-level seminars in Cross-Cultural Management and Entrepreneurship at leading MBA programs, including at the Technion, Tel-Aviv University and at the Interdisciplinary Center in Israel, and at ENPC and ISM in France. Barak holds a Doctorate of Business Administration, with honors, from the International School of Management, Paris, France, and a B.Sc. in Information Systems, with honors, from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA.
Eleonora Cattaneo, PhD
Dr. Eleonora Cattaneo teaches Integrated Communications in the DBA and PhD programs at ISM. Her areas of expertise include strategic and international marketing as well as brand management and communications. She has global consulting experience in a variety of Fortune 500's: Fiat, CNH Industrial, Renault and Nestlé among others.
She has acted as in-house advisor to CMOs providing insights as well as support in deployment of new market entry strategies, brand repositioning and new product launches. She has been visiting professor at EM Lyon, the Helsinki School of Economics and Cranfield School of Management. Author of several publications and papers, among others: "Assessing the revival potential of brands from the past: how relevant is nostalgia in retrobranding strategies?" (with Carolina Guerini) in Journal of Brand Management. She holds a BA from Bristol University (UK), MBA at SDA Bocconi, PhD University of Pavia.
Hugues Chenet, PhD
Hugues Chenet co-founded the 2° Investing Initiative [2°ii] think tank in 2012 and has been Non-Executive Director since 2016. 2°ii develops climate and long-term risk metrics and related policy options in financial markets. He is a climate and sustainability interdisciplinary researcher, holding an honorary senior research associate position at University College London (UK), and a research associate to the Chair of Energy and Prosperity at X/ENSAE/ENS (France).
Dr. Chenet worked as a sustainability and risk expert for a finance and management consultancy from 2007 to 2012 and holds a PhD in geophysics. He started his career on planetary science at the Institute of Earth Physics of Paris and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. He will be teaching a course on sustainable business development to our doctoral candidates in the spring of 2019.
Ivonne Chirino-Klevans, PhD
Dr. Ivonne Chirino-Klevans teaches Human Resources Management and Teaching & the Human Brain and is a core faculty member at ISM. She has worked extensively as a consultant with Fortune 500 organizations on topics related to Global Leadership, Decision Making, Diversity and Inclusion. Her research interests are the integration of technology, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence in skill development. She is a multiple award winner for the development of virtual reality simulations focused on conflict management across cultures, as well as the recipient of multiple “Excellence in Teaching” awards.
Dr. Chirino-Klevans has served in many leadership positions such as Assistant Dean of Executive Education at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and founding member of Duke Corporate Education (Duke CE). Duke CE was ranked as number one executive education provider in the world, Director of International and Distance Education at North Carolina State University, USA. She holds a teaching position at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, USA, teaching Leadership, Behavioral Economics and Decision Making, and coordinates the Diversity and Inclusion academic area. Earlier in her career, she served as Sports Psychologist for Olympic teams.
A former elite gymnast and All-American in gymnastics, she brings her expertise in sports to the classroom by designing high-impact and transformative learning experiences aimed at developing competencies for teaching and learning in multicultural and global environments.
Dr. Chirino-Klevans holds a PhD in Psychology, a Masters in Psychology, a Masters in Business Administration and an undergraduate degree in Psychology. She also has a specialization in Instructional Design focusing on integration of technology in Education. She is author and editor of the book Author and editor of the book “Cases on Global Leadership in the Contemporary Economy.

Tobias de Coning, PhD
Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department Chair
Dr. Tobias de Coning teaches Human Resources Management in the IMBA program and Managing Small and Medium Sized Entreprises in the DBA and PhD programs at ISM. Dr. de Coning is an academic from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, where he also holds a senior management position as Chief Director: Strategic Initiatives and Human Resources. His academic focus and background are in the fields of Strategic and General Management; Entrepreneurship – with a special focus on Entrepreneurship in small and medium sized enterprises as well as in Corporate Entrepreneurship (Intrapreneurship); and, in Human Resources Management.
Over the last couple of years, he has worked extensively on projects aimed at the internationalization of small- and medium-sized enterprises and is currently also involved in a major project on this topic sponsored by Barclays Africa. He is also a visiting professor at both Coventry University as well as Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom, where his work focuses on the subject of Systemic Entrepreneurship. He is also a visiting professor at EMS Strasbourg, where he teaches Strategic Human Resources Management. Professor de Coning is an experienced supervisor and study leader at both the master and PhD levels. He has wide-ranging international experience and currently also works extensively with the Association of Africa Universities (AAU) to advance the functionality of member universities. This is done in collaboration with international agencies such as CASE.
Teck Eng, PhD
Dr. Teck Eng teaches Advanced Qualitative Methods and Research Methods in the DBA and PhD programs at ISM. Dr. Eng is Professor of Marketing, Director of the Centre of Excellence in Digital, Interactive & Data-Driven Marketing, at the University of Southampton, UK. He has been teaching at different levels, UG, PG, MBA and executive training workshops, and he is a certified online instructor and moderator. He specialises in running workshops on research methods for numerous international business schools.
Eng has successfully supervised PhD students to completion. His teaching interests include advanced analytic methods, research methods, business marketing, marketing strategy, new product development, customer insights, branding and developing a market-oriented organisation. His research interests include business marketing, digital marketing, entrepreneurship and innovation, learning mechanisms through digital and mobile technology.
Eng is currently supervising PhD students on topics related to his research interests. He has published articles in numerous blind peer reviewed academic journals including Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, Journal of World Business, Journal of Business Ethics, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Supply Chain Management and Technovation.

Dr. Mark Esposito is co-founder and Chief Strategic Officer at Nexus FrontierTech, a leading global firm providing AI solutions to a variety of clients across industries, sectors, and regions. In 2016 he was listed on the Radar of Thinkers50, as of the 30 most prominent business thinkers on the rise, globally.
He teaches Business, Government & Society & Economic Strategy and Competitiveness for Harvard University's Division of Continuing Education, and serves as Institutes Council Co-Leader, at the Microeconomics of Competitiveness program (MOC) at the Institute of Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School.
Mark is a Professor of Business & Economics at Hult International Business School and a Fellow at the Judge Business School in the UK, as part of the Circular Economy Center. He equally holds an Adjunct Professorship at IE Business School.
He holds Fellowships with the Social Progress Imperative and with the Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils in Washington D.C. He is a nonresident Fellow at the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government in Dubai. Mark has been appointed as a global expert for the Fourth Industrial Revolution at World Economic Forum.

Maurice R. Forget, EdD
Leadership Department Chair
Dr. Maurice R. Forget is an award-winning educational curator, international researcher, and university professor with over ten years of senior leadership experience in executive and graduate business education. He holds an Ed.D. (Doctor of Education) from the University of Pennsylvania. His doctoral research focused on emotional intelligence across cultures and was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Robbin Chapman, Associate Dean at Harvard University.
He previously completed a Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) at the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education, after attending a graduate program in Educational Leadership at the UCL Institute of Education in London. His former professional and academic background were in international law, having graduated from the Panthéon-Assas University in Paris with a master’s degree (LL.M.) in International Business, Trade & Tax Law. A life-long learner, he is currently studying psychology part-time at Harvard University, where he specializes in neuropsychology and psychometrics.
Maurice’s teaching and research expertise is primarily related to organizational psychology, emotional intelligence, global leadership, psychometrics, behavioral neurosciences and neuropsychology, as well as social research methodology and human-based research ethics. Combining his different fields of expertise, his current academic research mainly focuses on complex social-emotional meta-competencies and the associated psychological variables of global leaders.
As a senior partner at VE Global Leadership, Maurice also facilitates and provides individualized executive coaching, evidence-based leadership training programs, as well as innovative corporate learning solutions and strategic consulting for business organizations across the globe. In recognition of his success as a talent shaper and institutional learning curator, he was awarded the Corporate Learning Partnership Award by the City University of New York (CUNY) in 2017.
Mark Gershon, PhD
Dr. Mark Gershon teaches Project Management in the DBA & PhD programs at ISM. Gershon, a certified Project Management Professional and Six Sigma Master Black Belt, is chairman of the department of Operations Management at Temple University and President of the World Class Training Institute.
He is a leading researcher, educator and practitioner in the areas of project management, quality and process improvement methodologies. An industrial engineer by training, he acquired a broad background in manufacturing processes as a quality engineer for the Army Armaments Command Project Management Office. He has helped many companies to implement project management and improvement systems, taught numerous classes on these subjects, and conducted and published research on best practices for such implementations.
José Gimenez, PhD
José Gimenez teaches Business Statistics and Research Methods, as well as Supply Chain Management in the IMBA program at ISM. Gimenez earned his Ph.D in Sciences at the Université Paul Sabatier (Toulouse), MSc in Electrical Engineering at the Imperial College of Science and Technology (London), and BSc in Electrical Engineering at the Universidad Simon Bolivar (Caracas).

Michael Gordon, PhD
Dr. Michael Gordon teaches Corporate Entrepreneurial Strategies in the doctoral program at ISM. Gordon has extensive experience in the areas of entrepreneurship, education, public speaking, and science. For the past ten years, he has been teaching entrepreneurship as an Adjunct Professor at Babson College and for the past five years at the Harvard Extension School.
After twelve years in research, development, and management at Polaroid Corporation and Celanese Plastics Company, Dr. Gordon pursued a career in entrepreneurship and founded four companies: a plastics injection molding company, a company which made products for the control of static electricity (Plastic Systems, Inc) a network for entrepreneurs and investors (the Venture-Preneurs Network) and a private investment and consulting firm (Quantum Ventures). He is currently developing the internet venture AngelDeals.com, a virtual global network for the business community: entrepreneurs seeking funding and growth, investors seeking dealflow, business professionals seeking visibility, and both employers and job seekers.
Gordon received a PhD in Organo-Metallics and Polymers from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1966 and a BS in Organic Chemistry from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Elias Hadzillias, PhD
Dr.Elias Hadzillias teaches E-Commerce in the IMBA program at ISM. Hadzilias holds a Ph.D in Business Process Management and a Master of Science in Industrial Systems, both earned at National Technical University in Athens (Greece). Based in Athens, he works as a freelance management consultant in addition to his teaching at IESEG School of Management and Université Catholique de Lille.
His areas of teaching and research have been in E-Business, E-Government, Virtual Enterprises, Enterprise Modeling, Strategic Management, and Operations Management. George Iatridis, PhD
Dr. George Iatridis teaches Accounting & Finance Pronciples in the DBA and PhD programs at ISM. Iatridis is an associate professor of accounting and finance at the Department of Economics, University of Thessaly, Greece. Dr Iatridis is the financial accounting subject editor of the International Review of Financial Analysis (Elsevier).
He has worked as a lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the School of Accounting and Finance, University of Manchester, UK. He has also taught at the University of Athens and the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST). Dr Iatridis studied Accounting and Finance at postgraduate level at the Universities of Manchester (PhD) and Southampton (MSc). Before graduate school, he studied Economics at the University of Athens, Greece. His current research interests mostly relate to the economic consequences of the implementation of international financial reporting standards, accounting policy choice, earnings quality and earnings conservatism.
Emmanuel Igah, PhD
Dr. Emmanuel Igah is a seasoned professional with considerable international experience. He holds a doctorate degree in economic geography and development planning from the University of Paris IV Sorbonne and an International Executive Master of Business Administration from the International School of Management, both obtained after initial studies for a master’s in architecture and project management in Paris.
Dr. Igah’s professional experience spans across a wide range of projects and institutions, including consultancy missions with the United Nations, UNESCO, the World Bank, the European Union, as well as the Nigerian and French governments, which have taken him to a great number of countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and North America. He played a key role in the construction and delivery of a gas plant in Nigeria’s Niger Delta region. Actively engaged in teaching in various institutions, Dr. Igah has carried out a substantial number of publications on different topics. He was conferred in 2001 with the French National Order of Merit Award for his professional achievements.
Chris Jeffs, DBA
Dr. Chris Jeffs teaches Design Thinking in the DBA and PhD programs at ISM. He has over two decades of international experience in the pharmaceutical, technological, and higher education sectors. He earned his doctorate in the field of knowledge transfer and innovation management.
As Director of FORM Strategies, he provides executive and business coaching specializing in leadership development and the co-creation of new business models using Design Thinking techniques. Chris sits on the Advisory and Decision Committee as a Sector Expert for the UAE Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund. He is a Senior Examiner for the Chartered Institute of Marketing, a Strategy Expert for IMD in Lausanne, and he holds the post of Affiliate Professor in Strategic and Innovation Management at Grenoble Ecole de Management.
Guillermo Jimenez, JD
Guillermo Jimenez, JD teaches Multicultural Management in the doctoral programs at ISM. Jimenez is a specialist in international trade and international business transactions. Mr. Jiménez has lectured on international trade and related topics in over thirty countries.
After working for eight years in Paris as Head of Division at the International Chamber of Commerce, he returned to the U.S., where he was recently appointed Professor of International Trade and Marketing at the State University of New York - F.I.T.
Jimenez received a JD from the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law in 1983 and a BA from Harvard University in 1980.

Bernhard Koelmel, PhD
Strategic Technology & Innovation Management Department Chair
Dr. Bernhard Koelmel teaches and researches in the field of future-oriented technologies, products and solutions at the interface of sustainable management (foresight, technology and market roadmapping, technology transfer, innovation management, business design and business models) and technological potentials (cloud, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, metaverse, blockchain, etc.). He advises companies (technology companies, hidden champions) on their future initiatives.
After his studies and doctorate at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Dr. Koelmel worked for a long time in management in the field of strategy, innovation and business design of leading technology companies and start-ups e.g. in Silicon Valley. He coordinates numerous international research and development projects in the field of the networked world. Dr. Koelmel works as a consultant and expert for national and international ministries, the European Commission and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). Bernhard Koelmel represents the teaching area Global Process Management at Pforzheim University (School of Engineering), is responsible for accreditation activities (national and international, e.g. AACSB) and is a member of the University Council.
Tamás Landesz, PhD
Dr. Tamás Landesz is Director of Administration and Finance and member of the Senior Leadership Team at the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) based in Lyon, France. Prior, Landesz held senior positions with intergovernmental development organizations and advised governments, including the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the European Defence Agency (EDA), United Nations Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO), and the Office of the Prime Minister of Lebanon. He has worked directly in complex conflicts across four continents, including the regions of the Balkans, Caucasus, Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and South America.
Landesz started his career as a management consultant, providing strategic advice to companies expanding to Eastern Europe, during the transition from centrally planned to market economies. He is a member of Michael Porter's academic network, lecturing on the microeconomics of competitiveness. Landesz holds an MPA from Harvard University, an MALD from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and an MBA from Vienna. His research focuses on the future, i.e. his PhD dissertation at ISM dealt with the future of leadership. Landesz has been awarded as Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2010, where he remains actively engaged as an alumni supporting multi-disciplinary projects aiming to improve the state of the world.
Frederick Lane
Frederick Lane is an author, attorney, educational consultant, and lecturer based in Brooklyn, NY. He is a nationally-recognized expert in the areas of cybersafety, digital misconduct, personal privacy, and other topics at the intersection of law, technology, and society. Lane has appeared on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, the BBC, and MSNBC. He has written nine books, including most recently Cybertraps for Educators (Mathom Press 2015) and Cybertraps for Expecting Moms & Dad (Mathom Press 2016).
Deanne Larson, PhD
Dr. Deanne Larson teaches Digital Marketing at ISM. She is an active data science practitioner and academic, and her areas of research include data strategy, data science, and project management. She holds Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Business Intelligence Profession (CBIP), and Six Sigma certifications. She attended AT&T Executive Training at the Harvard Business School, focusing on IT leadership and Stanford University focusing on Data Mining, and holds a Masters in Analytics from NYU. She presents several times a year at conferences for TDWI. Dr. Larson is Principal Faculty at City University of Seattle and has consulted for several Fortune 500 companies. She holds a PhD from the International School of Management.
Ulrike Mayrhofer, DBA
Onyeka Uche Ofili, PhD
Dr. Uche Ofili teaches Entrepreneurship in Developing Markets at the International School of Management, Paris. His areas of core competence and strength are entrepreneurship, intellectual property protection, technology and innovation, and business coaching/mentoring. He has published several peer reviewed articles on the aforementioned areas of expertise.
Dr. Ofili has a strong background in working in startups and skills in the utilization of information technology tools to deliver business objectives. Over the years, he has invested money and time in several startups and is a member of the advisory board of a social video review platform. He has sound understanding of the development of information technology policies and the application of information technology in both private and public organizations. He is a strategic thinker with solid communication skills and outstanding interpersonal, training, and presentation skills. He has a proven track record of performance based on the ability to creatively articulate strategies and drive excellence in execution in order to consistently achieve expected results. He has a first degree in electrical engineering from the University of Lagos, an MBA from the University of Liverpool, and an LLM in innovation, technology, and law from the University of Edinburg. He holds both a DBA and a PhD in international business from ISM.
Patrick O'Sullivan, PhD
Dr. Patrick O’Sullivan teaches Business Ethics in the doctoral programs at ISM. O’Sullivan was formerly a Senior Lecturer and MBA Program Director at Cardiff University Business School, and was appointed as full Professor at Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) in September, 2006. From September, 2009 to September, 2012 he has been Head of Department of People Organizations and Society at GEM.
He has extensive experience in teaching at all levels and in academic administration. His teaching specialities include business ethics, critical scientific methodology, political economy of the European Union as well as managerial economics and in recent years he has developed a wide range of international teaching experience.
O’Sullivan received a PhD from European University Institute, Florence, Italy, an MA in Economics from University College Dublin in 1974 and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from University College Dublin in 1972, and in 1969 received an Irish School Leaving Certificate, honors level attained in all nine subjects taken.

Nathan Sambul, DBA
Nathan Sambul, MA teaches Advertising and Communications in the IMBA program at ISM. Sambul is an international marketing specialist with clients in Europe and North America. Previously, he was Chief Marketing Officer for Marsh, the world’s leading insurance broker (with revenues over $5 billion). His areas of global responsibility included advertising, new business development research, consumer behavior, knowledge management, direct marketing, graphics, publicity, and intellectual content for clients and prospects.
Prior to Marsh, Sambul was Head of Marketing for Merrill Lynch’s North America’s retail operation, with a marketing budget of $88 million and 175 full-time marketing employees. He began his career at a New York advertising agency, Norman, Lawrence, Patterson & Farrell, and later founded an award-winning marketing agency, whose clients included Chase, American Express, Minolta, and Merck.
"Sambul received a DBA in International Business Management from ISM, an MA in Mass Communications from the University of Michigan, and a BA in Mass Communications from Queens College, NY.

Christophe Schinckus, PhD
Finance Department Chair
Dr. Christophe Schinckus holds a BSc in Engineering and Management; a BSc in Computer Science; an MSc in Engineering and Management; an MSc in Financial Risk Management; an MA in Philosophy of Science and a MASt (Master in Advanced Studies) in Economic Epistemology. He finished his first PhD in Economics in 2009 from the University of Paris I – Pantheon Sorbonne (France) and his second PhD in Philosophy of Science from the University of Cambridge (UK). Dr. Schinckus gained his teaching and managerial experience in different universities all around the world. He has published more than 130 papers in peer-reviewed journals and a book on Econophysics (Oxford University Press). In parallel to his academic activities, Christophe also collaborates as a research consultant for private companies, such as JP Morgan or Suez Gaz de France, and he recently worked with the African Development Bank.
Simon Stoepfgeshoff, PhD
Dr. Simon Stoepfgeshoff teaches Strategic Human Resources Management in the DBA and PhD programs at ISM. Dr. Stoepfgeshoff holds a diploma in business administration and a PhD from the University of Bayreuth. He is currently the Director of Customized Programs for the Executive School of Management, Law & Technology at the University of St. Gallen, and is also a professor of International Human Resource Management at the University of Applied Sciences of Bern.
As Director of Customized Programs at the University of St. Gallen, Dr. Stoepfgeshoff works with companies to analyze and define strategic learning needs and to design and deliver customized learning initiatives. He has eight years of human resources management consulting experience in France and Germany (HayGroup), has held corporate roles in Hoffmann La-Roche, and Alstom Group (Alstom University), and has acted as the Chief Learning Officer at Vestas Wind Systems, Denmark. Furthermore, Dr. Stoepfgeshoff has experience consulting, teaching, and training in the US and Asia.
Andrew R Thomas, PhD
Dr. Andrew R Thomas teaches Customer Relationship Management in the doctoral programs at ISM. Thomas is Associate Professor of Marketing and International Business at the University of Akron.
He has traveled to and conducted business in 120 countries on all seven continents. Thomas is founding editor-in-chief of the Journal of Transportation Security, contributing editor at Industry Week, and a regularly featured analyst for media outlets around the world.
Thomas received a PhD in International Business at the University of Bucharest, Academia de Studii Economice, an MA in International Political Economy from the University of Akron and a BA in Political Science and History from the University of Akron.

Terence Tse, PhD
Dr. Terence Tse teaches Fast Expanding Markets in the DBA and PhD programs at ISM. Dr. Tse is an Associate Professor in Finance at ESCP Europe Business School. His teaching approach reflects his previous industry experience. Before joining academia, Dr Tse worked in the area of mergers and acquisitions at Schroders, Citibank and Lazard Brothers in Montréal and New York.
He also worked in London as a consultant at Ernst & Young focusing on UK financial services. Additionally, as an independent consultant, he advised Shell International, F&C Asset Management, Alliance Boots, Alitalia as well as a Cambridge University-based biotech start-up.
He obtained his doctoral degree from the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, UK. He also holds a Master of Arts in Corporate Strategy and Governance from the University of Nottingham, UK, and a Master of Economics from the Universität des Saarlandes, Germany. Dr Tse earned his Bachelor of Arts in German and Economics from the Western University, Canada. He is also a member of the Institute of Strategy and Competitiveness at the Harvard Business School.
Ken K. Wong, DBA
Dr. Ken K. Wong teaches Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the IMBA program at ISM. Ken is a marketing professor at Seneca College and a leader in digital learning solutions. He co-founded Presentria to make inclusive teaching and learning a reality through the use of Artificial Intelligence, Location-based Services, and other advanced computing technologies. He is the recipient of the 2020 Minister of Colleges and Universities Award of Excellence for his dedication to students and the broader post-secondary sector during the pandemic.
Ken enjoys inspiring MBAs and senior executives around the world. He was a visiting professor at the “Triple Crown” accredited Aalto University (Finland, South Korea, and Taiwan) and Hult International Business School (USA, UAE, and China), the AMBA and EQUIS-accredited Nyenrode Business Universiteit (The Netherlands), the ACBSP-accredited International School of Management (France), and the AMBA-accredited COTRUGLI Business School (Bulgaria, Croatia, and Romania). He has trained Deutsche Telekom managers on social media and LG Electronics engineers and managing directors on customer experience management.
A retail expert known to the business community, Ken previously served as an Assistant Professor in Retail Management at the AACSB-accredited Ryerson University, where he received the 2014 and 2015 “A Prof Who Made a Mark” award. He also worked as a Marketing Professor and Subject Area Coordinator at the EFMD-accredited U21Global from 2006 to 2012, where he received the Outstanding Professor, Most Innovative Professor, and Excellence in Online Education awards. His research interests include luxury marketing, customer experience management, and emerging research methods such as PLS-SEM. He has published 18 peer-reviewed publications and 7 trade books.
Prior to entering the academic field, Ken was the VP of Marketing at TeraGo Networks and had held progressive product marketing roles at PSINet, Sprint Canada and TELUS Mobility. Ken received a DBA from the University of Newcastle in 2006, an MBA from Nyenrode Business Universiteit in 1998, and a BSc from the University of Toronto in 1997.

Philip Young, PhD
Dr. Philip Young teaches Business Simulations in the IMBA program at ISM. Young is a corporate education consultant who designs and implements seminars and training programs in finance, marketing, and strategy. He has over 30 years of experience in this area of consulting as a course designer, instructor, and facilitator.
Among his present and past clients are: IBM, AT&T, Verizon, ITT, ABB, Dow Chemical, Ericsson, Siemens, Bayer Diagnostics, Sonoco, ST Microelectronics, BT (British Telecom), Ingersoll-Rand, Ericsson, MasterCard International, American Express, Booz&Co, the Emirates Bank Group, NDB Bank and Citibank.
He has conducted corporate education programs for these and a number of other companies in over 30 countries throughout the world. Prior to founding his own consulting firm, Phil was a Professor of Economics and Finance at Pace University in New York, where he taught in the MBA program for 25 years. While at Pace he was appointed as the first visiting professor in IBM's International Finance, Planning and Administration School located in NY and Belgium. In addition, he was the Director of Corporate Education for Pace University. His responsibilities included the academic leadership of Pace's corporate education and Executive MBA programs.
Young has also taught in executive education programs sponsored by Cornell University, Columbia University, The University of California at Berkeley, Thunderbird School of Global Management, and the Duke Corporate Education.
Young received a B.A. from the University of Hawaii, a Master's degree in international relations from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. in economics from New York University.
Dan Zagata, DBA
Dan Zagata, DBA teaches Corporate Finance in the IMBA program at ISM. Dan brings over 15 years of real world financial expertise to the class room to help students turn theory into practical application. He has served as Managing Associate for one of the largest regions of Manulife Financial in the US, and currently is the co-founder and Managing Director of Evershore Financial Group.
With over one billion USD under management, Dan directs more than 40 investment professionals in the areas of private wealth management, risk mitigation, and the investment advisory arena.
Dan holds a BA in Economics and an MBA in Finance from Bentley University in Boston, Masschusetts. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) from The American College. He completed his DBA at ISM with a dissertation focused on valuing reputational risks in the financial markets.
